Michelle was born and raised in Timmins and brings a wealth of administrative experience to our firm and has held management positions with major businesses in the city. She is a compassionate individual who often assists with our families' needs and is a valued employee.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF Huguette Pearce (1943-2017), Funeral Service Assistant

On Tuesday, March 28, 2017 our beloved Huguette passed away peacefully after a brave fight. Huguette was the longest standing employee having served families for over 19 years. She will be dearly missed by her second family at Miron-Wilson but will never be forgotten.

Huguette Pearce has been a resident of Timmins since the age of 6 years. She became part of our team in 1997 and has been  assisting us with visitation reception ever since. During the day, many know Huguette as a pharmacy technician from Shoppers Drug Mart on Algonquin. Huguette is the proud "Nana" to her 6 beautiful grandchildren.

Carmen joined our team in 2005. She was born and raised in Timmins, Ontario. She was married to her late husband Paul (2016) for over 40 years.  She has two daughters and four grandchildren. Carmen has always worked in a health care setting. She worked for the Martin Chiropractic Clinic for 8 years, as a Chiropractic Assistant. In 1982 Carmen moved to the Timmins and District Hospital where she continues to work as an Administrative Assistant. Carmen assists us with visitation duties. She strives on perfection and quality of work. Carmen is also an active member of the Board of Directors with the Jubilee Centre for the past 12 years.

Marie Jeanne joined our team in 2012.  She was born and raised in Timmins and is from a family of 12 children.  She has been married to her husband Wayne Barabas for 40 years.  Together they have a daughter, son-in-law and 2 wonderful grand-daughters.  Before joining our team, Marie Jeanne worked for Northern Telephone for over 20 years where she held several managerial positions.  She has been a proud member of the “Filles D’Isabelle “ since 1998.  Marie Jeanne is our reception hostess and is also a funeral service assistant where she can be seen greeting families and visitors. She is an excellent and loyal staff member who tends to the needs of our families in a most caring and professional manner.

Tim was born and raised in Timmins and has been a resident here all his life. He is married to his wife Maureen and is the proud father of his 3 boys as well as 2 grandchildren. He was a graduate Timmins High & Vocational School and was an accomplished athlete and hockey player in his day. Tim had been employed with the City of Timmins for over 40 years having recently retired as the Cemetery Supervisor for the City's 3 cemeteries. Tim assists us with funerals and driving and is a valuable asset. His soft spoken demeanor lends well to his interactions with the families we serve. When not spending time with family, Tim loves walking his dog and is a avid golfer.

Bob has been a resident of Timmins all his life. He is the proud father of his two sons. Bob spent his career serving the community as an officer with the Timmins Police Force until his recent retirement. He is active in many organizations in the city including having a great passion for the Special Olympics and Timmins Palliative Care. Bob joined our team in 2012 as an assistant to our funeral directors and is an invaluable asset. We are proud to have him as part of our team.

Tina is a lifelong resident of Timmins and wife of owner Michael Wilson. She is the proud mother of 3 children and has been part of the establishment of Miron-Wilson since 1988 having played an instrumental part in its expansion to what it is today. She has been heavily involved with the Timmins & District Humane Society and well as a number of of local causes and still plays an instrumental part in the day to day operations of the funeral home as well as our associated crematorium.

Gil has been a part of our team since January 2001. He grew up in Timmins and in 1963 left town to begin a 30 year career with the Ontario Provincial Police, serving in Cochrane, Long Sault, General Headquarters Toronto and Bracebridge. After his retirement he and his wife Claire (nee Gaudreau) moved back to Timmins to be closer to Family. He is an active member of the St. Anthony of Padua Parish, serving as Chair of the Finance Committee and is also a Eucharistic Minister. As well, he is an active member of the Knights of Columbus belonging to the St. Anthony of Padua Council # 12859 and the 4th Degree Knights, Canon Harold G. Jones Assembly #0889. Gil mostly assists our firm as an assistant on funerals and visitations. In June of 2014, Gil officially retired so that he can enjoy spending more time with family and his beloved camp in the Gogama area. We wish Gil all the best in his retirement from funeral service. We will miss him!
